■ If you'd like to contribute: click on the DONATE icon at the bottom of this column (or above).

■ This donation site is managed through PayPal. Once you click on DONATE, you can use your PayPal account... or if you don't have one, just click on [continue] at the bottom of the page where it says "Don't have a PayPal account?"... you'll then be able to enter credit card info without a PayPal account. Please contact Mark Miller at 415-355-0575, or the email address below if you have any questions or concerns, or would like to just send a check.

■ Any funds donated here are wired directly into a PayPal Donation account set up for Hal Hansen. All contributions will be acknowledged (Thank-You notes may or may not be soaked in tears!). Also please note: credit card numbers are never relayed to the recipient; PayPal has an excellent record for security!

■ There is an anonymized accounting of the fund provided on this site (see the Fund Accounting tab). This, and the Fund Total at the top of this column, will be updated frequently.

■ Contributions are not tax deductible. We’re not a Non-profit… and in fact couldn’t be. (A 501c can’t be established to benefit a single individual.) Regarding taxes, things of this sort fall under 'gifting': IRS rules allow you to give up to $13,000 per recipient per year, without any tax consequences (for either the doner or the recipient). Your rich Grandmother may have to worry about this issue... but most of us don't!
